"Batavia Madrigal Singers" from Indonesia sweeps getting five awards, including the First Habaneras, the Intercontinental and the Public - 30/07/2011 (1 Video)


"Batavia Madrigal Singers" in Jakarta (Indonesia), led by AVIP Priatna proclaimed last night won the 57th International Contest of Habanera and Polyphony of Torrevieja, to get the first prize in Havana "Juan Aparicio", worth 12,000 euros, as well as prize Intercontinental, which amounts to 10,000 euros, and delivered to the group with the highest score in the overall calculation of their performances in Havana and polyphony. The award "Region of Origin," given to the best interpretation of a polyphonic piece, worth € 2000 and a trophy went to the Choir "Nueva Esparta" La Asunción (Venezuela) for the interpretation of the play "Six Perreao" with adaptation of Indio Figueredo and Felipe Izcaray arrangements.
